Scientific Consultant / Co-director

Jon Vøllestad is a clinical psychology specialist and Associate Professor at the University of Bergen. He has extensive experience from the Norwegian public mental health system in both individual and group treatment for anxiety, depression, and personality disorders.

His research focuses on transdiagnostic treatments for emotional disorders. He directs the Bergen Unified Protocol Research Lab and is principal investigator of the project “Transdiagnostic group treatment for emotional disorders: Outcomes, change processes, and therapist training.”

Jon is a certified Level 3 Unified Protocol (UP) trainer. He teaches, trains, and supervises clinicians in the UP and coordinates a collaborative network of UP practitioners in the Bergen area. Together with Professor Elisabeth Schanche, he translated the UP therapist guide and client workbook into Norwegian, published by Gyldendal Akademisk.
