Expert trainer

Elisabeth Schanche is a clinical psychology specialist and professor at the University of Bergen. She has trained in affect phobia therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and sensorimotor psychotherapy, and previously worked in Norway’s public mental health services. Her research focuses on transdiagnostic treatments for emotional disorders and on training clinical skills in novice therapists. She is a member of the Bergen Unified Protocol Research Lab and principal investigator of “Therapist training in transdiagnostic group treatment for emotional disorders.” Elisabeth is a certified Unified Protocol (UP) Level 3 clinician and provides teaching, training, and supervision in UP. Together with associate professor Jon Vøllestad, she translated the UP therapist guide and client workbook into Norwegian, published by Gyldendal Akademisk.
