To all of you who have visited our website or joined our event this spring - thank you! We are very happy to have launched the UPI Nordic, and we have been genuinely encouraged by the interest the UP is being met with across the Nordic countries.
Our launch event in March was a great start. We were delighted to receive video greetings from UP developers including David Barlow, and Todd Farchione provided an engaging and up-to-date overview of the current status of the science. Participants were clear about what they are looking for: more training, more supervision, and more opportunities to connect with others working with the UP. These are exactly the needs UPI Nordic was created to address.
This spring, UPI Nordic-approved Level 1 workshops were held in Oslo, Bergen, Roskilde, and Gießen, reaching around 150 clinicians across Norway, Denmark, and Germany. We were encouraged by the engagement and discussions, and hope these workshops will help more clinicians get started with offering the UP across our region.
We are also doing our best to respond to the growing demand for supervision through our network of qualified trainers, and are exploring further ways to support learning about the UP.
As we head into summer, we would like to draw your attention to our upcoming network meeting on September 23rd. This online event will focus on using the UP group format to foster engagement, support, and experiential learning. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.
We wish you all a restful summer — and look forward to continuing this work together in the autumn.
Kind regards, Nina & Jon
